The right balance between learning and leisure phases

At Louisenlund, the children can discover themselves and their strengths and talents and learn at their own pace.

Elementary school as a day school

In Louisenlund's innovative learning environment, children are allowed to be themselves - and develop into strong, independent and creative personalities through individual support.

The new Louisenlund pedagogy focuses on your child exactly as they are - with their talents and interests, their needs and their own pace of learning. Your child will be given the space, time and individual support they need to develop to their full potential. Our teachers see themselves as learning companions who guide your child to lay a solid foundation for a successful and happy educational biography. The child-friendly, individualized learning environment is embedded in the sense of community that is characteristic of Louisenlund and, just like the idyllic, sheltered surroundings, contributes to the fact that children enjoy going to school and enthusiastically take part in both school and extracurricular activities.

"We create optimal and individual learning conditions for every child from day one."

Claudia Hoeschen, Head of the elementary school

When curiosity turns into a love of learning

Our didactics combine the reform pedagogical approaches of Maria Montessori and Louisenlund's founding father Kurt Hahn with the latest findings from learning research. The innovative learning architecture of our elementary school enables each individual child to complete the primary school curriculum on their own individual path, to discover their very own learning paths and to develop them independently. Our research world combines spacious learning landscapes, modern individual workstations, comfortable group rooms as well as play and relaxation areas. Nature is also an integral part of the educational campus. The immediate proximity to the forest and Schlei provides a strong stimulus for children's spirit of discovery.
